Safe Spring Break in Panama City BeachWhat fun would it be to come down to the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches and have to leave in a body cast?! No fun at all! Here are a few tips that will help you make your Spring Break safe and fun.

Don’t play Spiderman!
You might think balcony climbing is cool, but it’s really really dangerous. Several people have died resulting from injuries sustained while hanging from or jumping over a hotel balcony. Be smart and be safe. Balcony climbing is punishable by fine, jail time or possibly even death.

The Rock Lobster Syndrome
The sun is almost triple its intensity on the beach due to its reflections off the sand and the water. You can be sure to avoid a nasty burn (and that oh-so-attractive rock lobster look) by slathering on plenty of sunscreen and wear protective gear like your favorite shades to prevent burning sensitive areas. Tanning in short intervals will help promote a more even, longer lasting tan.

Party Sensibly
We really don’t want to wreck your fun. We just want to be sure you’ll stay healthy so you can come back next year! If you or any of your friends have consumed mass quantities of alcohol or other harmful substances, please dial 9-1-1 for emergency medical treatment. Remember you should never lie down or attempt to sleep while you’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as you can drown in your own body fluids. You must remain upright and active until you sober up. Also, make sure that you don’t let any of your friends do it either. Watch out for them and make sure that they keep any eye on you as well. Acting responsibly will help you enjoy a lifetime of celebrations.

Just in case….
The Seawind Medical Clinic on Panama City Beach Parkway is the closest walk-in clinic if you happen to get sick or injured on Spring Break (it’s a bummer, but it can happen), also, there are two hospitals located in Panama City, Bay Medical and Gulf Coast Medical Center.  Or call 9-1-1 for immediate assistance. Party Hard, Party Safe, and Party Smart!
