We Made the Press!

Check this out folks!  We got a write up about all the haps that are going on down here in Panama City Beach for Spring Break 2008!  We knew that all of these folks were coming and had been telling everyone else, but when this hit our desks we were stoked that the word is already out!  If this doesn’t make you want to hit the beaches of Panama City Beach then nothing will!

“Corporate America Comes to Number One Spring Break Destination”
Panama City Beach is a well know spring break spot and has been for years.  Both the city of Panama City Beach and it’s spring break have matured.  Years ago, Panama City Beach looked very different than it does today, with the new buildings, shops, and restaurants that came to the beach, came a new attitude. The days of the so called “Redneck Rivera” are over. 

Spring Break used to be destructive and disturbing, this too has changed.  Spring Break in Panama City Beach today is a much more positive experience for the city.  Beach businesses flourish every March as breakers come down and start spending money, bringing many of these businesses out of a long winter slump.  Not only do local businesses want a piece of spring break, big name companies come down to Panama City Beach to get in front of the eye of the consumer as well.  Spring break is no longer about destruction, it’s about production. 

Every year more and more corporate sponsors are seeing what a great opportunity spring break is. Last year behind the Holiday Inn SunSpree, Casa Loma, Days Inn Beach, Paradise Found (now Paradise Palms), and Club La Vela you could find Geico, Gillette Venus, Gillette Fusion, Banana Boat, Greyhound, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Bookwormme.com, National Guard, and even a surprise visit from Victoria’s Secret!

This year is looking to be even bigger and better with even more popular sponsors, concerts, and more!  The beach behind the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort for Spring Break 2008 boasts Victoria Secret, Hawaiian Tropic, Maxim Magazine, Gieco, Army, and more! 

Victoria Secret will be here to introduce the new Spring Break 08 Bikini!  Fashion shows featuring the 2008 Victoria Secret Swimsuits will be at the Holiday Inn SunSpree.  Girls staying at the SunSpree can get their hands on one of these free Victoria Secret swim sui tes!   Victoria Secret showed up in Panama City Beach during spring break just to see what it was all about.  They did a small amount of sampling at that time and received fantastic results; they will be here this year with a full program for spring break to gather research.
Everyone knows sunburn is extremely bad for your skin. Hawaiian Tropic will be here protecting breaker’s beautiful skin with the sexiest sunscreen on the market.  Not only is the sunscreen sexy, so is the Hawaiian Tropic Girls!  Both will be on the beach this spring break at the Holiday Inn SunSpree!
Maxim Magazine, the hottest college magazine, will be on the beach this Spring Break.   The magazine will host the Maxim Gorgeous Girls of Spring Break search this year giving girls their shot at becoming a model!  Keep checking www.springbreakpcb.com  for more details.

The AVP, Association of Volleyball Professionals, is coming down to do some celebrity autograph signing and show their skills off to the Spring Breakers!  They are going to coordinate a teaching clinic, pro’s vs. amateur challenge, inter-collegiate challenges and more.  The courts will be up for the entire SB period with activation at the courts Mon-Fri.  On the weekends, the courts will be available for open/free play.

Geico held daily X-box tournaments and gave away some big dollar prizes, DVD players, game systems, to their winners. The Geico Girls strolled along the beach handing out visors, t-shirts, bags, stickers, and more. This year Geico will return to the beach for another round of fun and sun.
The Army will be back with a 60 foot tall tower to conquer. Climbing to the top took strength, determination, and a lack of fear of heights! Guys and girls will take this challenge on as their friends cheer from the ground. Reaching the top will get you a great view, bragging rights, and loads of Army stuff!

Every year the Golden Knights put on a show for spring breakers, falling from the sky and landing in an amazingly precise point on the beach only 2’ x 2’.  This year is no different; there will be four shows total – two behind the Holiday Inn SunSpree and two behind Club La Vela.

The National Guard will be behind the Days Inn entertaining all beach goers with cool concerts!  This spring break visit the Days Inn Beach to check out Three Doors Down, Rehab, and Brantley Gilbert!
With so much to do and so much to see spring breakers will be busy having fun, taking on challenges, learning from the pros, and making memories.  Corporate sponsored spring break gives students something to do, whether it be a push-up contest, Spring Break Idol, or a fashion show, keeping breakers busy keeps them safe and shows  them a great time in Panama City Beach while providing a great research tool and excellent brand imaging.
