Spring Break 2007 Re-cap

Last year bronzed bodies basked on the beach and enjoyed the daily party in paradise, bikinis, and bags of branded loot! Every year more and more corporate sponsors are seeing what a great opportunity spring break is. Last year behind the Holiday Inn SunSpree, Casa Loma, Days Inn Beach, and Paradise Found (now Paradise Palms) you could find Geico, Gillette Venus, Gillette Fusion, Banana Boat, Greyhound, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Bookwormme.com, Trojan, and even a surprise visit from Victoria’s Secret!

Not only are these corporations giving out free stuff, they are here to entertain, challenge, and sometimes pamper spring breakers! Geicco held daily X-box tournaments and gave away some big dollar prizes, DVD players, game systems, to their winners. The Geico Girls strolled along the beach handing out visors, t-shirts, bags, stickers, and more.

Banana Boat saved Spring Breakers form the sun, supplying sunscreen samples, t-shirts, bags, and other great beach items. Great stage contests and prizes every day!

Greyhound set up an igloo on the beach! This air-conditioned hideaway would get you out of the sun and cool you off as you stock up on chapstick, t-shirts, and golf towels and check out what Greyhounds new busses have to offer.

The Army set up a 60 foot tall tower to conquer. Climbing to the top took strength, determination, and a lack of fear of heights! Guys and girls took this challenge on as their friends cheered them on from the ground. Reaching the top got you a great view, cool pictures of you on an obstacle course of a tower, bragging rights, and loads of Army stuff! Camping chair, t-shirts, bags, waited at the bottom for those who made it to the top.

Gillette really went all out starting with check-in providing razors and shaving cream for every guest. The Venus Breeze Boys helped get your luggage out of the car. Every morning the Breeze Boys handed out beach towels, they would even rake the beach to give you a nice flat spot to lay out on! Throughout the day the Boys would walk around handing out oranges and Venus fans to keep you cool and refreshed. On the beach girls tried their luck at mini golf; if they got the ball in they could win cute Venus shorts and matching tanks. For girls who didn’t feel like golfing, there was a pampering station where Venus Girls would braid and put flowers in your hair. Gillette’s Venus is all about helping you obtain beautiful legs so it only made sense that the Legs of a Goddess contest was held daily on stage!

Every day on stage one of the Panama City Beach Spring Breakers became the Trojan Man! Trojan was out on the beach giving away samples, tanks, t-shirts, foam hats, and more! If you won one of their stage contests you walked away with free admission to local clubs or even $100!
Victoria’s Secret showed up last year swimsuits in hand! They came down to see what spring break was all about. Lots of lucky girls walked away with a free Victoria’s Secret swimsuit!
Other sponsored stuff on the beach included a basketball court right on the beach, doge ball cage, and a volleyball court. With plenty of free stuff to do and plenty of free stuff to collect the corporate sponsored spring break locations on Panama City Beach is the place to be!
